Quality Systems Technologist

Nando's is seeking a knowledgeable Quality Systems Technologist to become a vital part of their Supply Chain Team.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Nando's Food Policy, processes, and procedures are consistently updated to guarantee safe, brand-compliant, and legally sound supply chain sourcing.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass maintaining and enhancing the quality management system in alignment with legislation and industry best practices, revising policies and procedures to reflect industry developments, and fostering relationships with audit and laboratory partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the external environment for changes in legislation and industry best practices
  • Formulate and execute new procedures and policies within the Technical Sourcing Team
  • Revise relevant policies, procedures, and processes in response to changes
  • Prepare monthly reports for the Head of Technical Sourcing
  • Stay informed about supply chain and product trends
  • Oversee relationships with Audit and Laboratory partners
  • Analyze laboratory results and third-party audit data for Nando's
Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing and/or retail sector
  • Familiarity with BRCGS/GFSI certification standards
  • Professional expertise in relevant domains
  • Strong grasp of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Relevant qualifications in Food Science/Agriculture or a related field, HACCP, Allergen Management, etc.

Role Requirements:
