Job Summary:

Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team in London. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of quality systems, developing comprehensive training programs for the QC team, and establishing a trending system for key quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and deliver training programs for the QC team to enhance their knowledge and skills
  • Establish a trending system for key quality parameters to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement KPI measures by shift, run, and period to monitor quality performance
  • Oversee the follow-up of products on hold and maintain communication with relevant departments
  • Handle quality non-conformities through the system and ensure timely closure of corrective actions
  • Provide detailed reports to the Technical Manager on quality performance and trends
  • Review and implement specifications online to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with NPD for trial follow-ups and work with the Quality Manager to execute a Product Quality Improvement Programme
  • Organize problem-solving sessions to address and enhance quality issues
  • Take internal audits and set up a traceability system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Play a key role in handling quality complaints, conducting investigations, and working closely with QA and factory teams to implement a complaints reduction plan

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a food safety role within food manufacturing
  • Hold a degree in a Food Science related degree
  • HACCP and Food Safety level 3 is advantageous but not essential
  • Good Excel skills is essential for this role
