About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Medicine Consultant to join our team at NHS Grampian. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the delivery of our Pregnancy and Newborn Screening programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the delivery of the Pregnancy and Newborn Screening programme
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve population health and tackle health inequalities
  • Collaborate with multi-agency partners, including Local Authorities, Environmental Health, and Health and Social Care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our 5 Year Health Equity Plan
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC
  • Experience in public health medicine, with a focus on pregnancy and newborn screening
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
