- Prepare and deliver learning materials and support teaching activities
- Support the physical, social, and emotional welfare of children, including first aid duties
- Be creative and innovative in their approach to supporting learning
- Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Be committed to promoting and upholding the school's values and ethos
- Support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs
- Use their initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs and develop targeted support strategies
- Lead intervention groups and work with individual children, including those with SEND
