About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our administrative team within the Day Treatment Unit (DTU) at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our clinicians and patients, ensuring the smooth delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to capture patient activity on a daily basis, including waiting lists, admissions, discharges, and appointments.
  • Utilize other software systems, such as ARIA, to sense-check input of data on EPR.
  • Have thorough knowledge of 18 weeks Referral to Treatment in relation to patients and how it applies to patients being referred to Oncology/Haematology and DTU.
  • Answer telephone calls and take messages from patients, relatives, doctors, and allied healthcare professionals, dealing with queries as appropriate.
  • Provide reception and ward clerk support, greeting new patients, relatives, and visitors, and directing them to the appropriate staff member or area.

Requirements

  • Good general level of education (GCSEs/BTEC grade C or above or equivalent).
  • Proficient in use of MS Office.
  • Experience working in a team as well as independently.
