**Job Summary**

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust's ICT Department is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Technical Support Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in the support of corporate computer systems, including routine maintenance tasks, configuration management, incident management, change management, and problem management.
  • Enroll users on corporate systems, ensuring thorough testing of functionality prior to release.
  • Operate networked computer systems, including system shut-down and start-up procedures.
  • Install, configure, commission, test, and troubleshoot 'desktop' end-user Information & Communications Technology (ICT) equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the principles, configuration, and use of the Trust's standard computer operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows and UNIX technologies.
  • Ensure ICT equipment meets safety standards.
  • Determine and resolve ICT equipment and service issues, collaborating with second-line/third-line technical teams and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Utilize the ServiceNow Service Desk tool set to record and monitor the progress of incidents, changes, and requests.
  • Use the ServiceNow Service Desk tool set as the Trust's ICT asset management system, producing management reports as required.
  • Contribute to the development of ICT policies, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Document project work to departmental standards.
  • Liaise with external support agencies regarding ICT equipment and associated software.
  • Attend relevant training courses and seminars.
  • Train staff and students in ICT equipment and application software usage, as needed.
  • Stay current with IT industry developments.
  • Liaise with other ICT staff to ensure the integrity and smooth operation of the service.
