Five Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Key Stage 4 Educator to join our team at an alternative provision school. As a Key Stage 4 Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting students who are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Evaluate and adapt teaching strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes for each student.
  • Collaborate with ECT mentors to refine teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.
  • Prepare and deploy learning resources that promote academic and social growth.
  • Effectively utilize teaching assistants to support student learning and well-being.
  • Write comprehensive progress reports to inform senior leaders and parents/carers about student progress.
  • Communicate regularly with senior leaders and parents/carers to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
  • Adhere to the guidance of external professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and education.

Essential Criteria

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH needs
  • Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Skills: patience, resilience, flexibility

Desirable Criteria

  • SEND/Mental Health qualification(s)
