About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Primary Teacher to join our close-knit team at Brookthorpe Hall School, part of Options Autism. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs, including SEMH and ASD. You will be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact upon learning and behaviour in the classroom.

This is a rewarding role that will challenge you to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils. As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver fun educational-based learning that is tailored to each pupil's needs, ensuring they achieve positive results. Your duties will include teaching a varied range of subjects, preparing and planning teaching sessions, and building relationships with all young people.

Key Skills Required:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of teaching a range of subjects at Primary Level
  • Knowledge of current education issues in relation to practice, process, and curriculum
  • Background of working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour (SEMH/ASD)

About the School

Brookthorpe Hall School is a new independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 7-16, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEMH, ASD, and Complex Trauma.
