Aged Care Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in a reputable Aged Care provider located in central Christchurch.

The successful candidate will work on a 'Fixed Shift' pattern, which includes Sunday to Thursday afternoon shifts. As a Registered Nurse, you will be part of a team of caring professionals committed to delivering exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for residents' daily needs, from clinical care to end-of-life care.
  • Monitoring responses to treatment and care plans, and coordinating resident care.
  • Following doctor's medical instructions and interventions, treatments, medications, and therapies, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Leading and directing the team to ensure positive outcomes for residents and the facility.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and accurate recording, including progress notes and shift handover.
  • Understanding the aged care environment and quality management systems to meet residents' and families' expectations.

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate between $40 to $47, depending on experience, with additional pay rates for weekend and night shifts. We also provide health insurance at discounted rates, an Employee Assistance Programme, paid parental leave, and an Employee Share scheme and retention bonus.

Previous experience in aged care is advantageous, and InterRai training is ideal. Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
