Position Overview:

As a leading figure in the engineering domain, the Principal CAD Engineer will play a pivotal role in the development of innovative electric vehicles (EVs) with a focus on body structures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer, Body & Closures to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Utilize advanced CAD software, specifically Catia, to spearhead the creation of intricate 3D models for body structures.
- Develop and manage Engineering Bills of Materials (BoM), focusing on cost and weight efficiency.
- Conduct feasibility checks on design surfaces and provide expert guidance.
- Generate engineering hard-points and benchmark competitor vehicles, documenting findings.
- Engage with cross-functional teams including Package, Analysis, Manufacturing, and DVA to implement effective recommendations for optimal product release.
- Manage data storage and release through TCUA and PLM systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant engineering degree with substantial experience in body structure design.
- Proven track record in automotive or motorsport sectors, demonstrating proficiency in CAD tools (Catia).
- Comprehensive understanding of the complete vehicle development cycle, particularly for body structures.
