The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer for a leading company based in Coventry.

Reporting into the Programme Director the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role utilising various techniques to ensure that the project deliverables are completed to a high standard in line with the overall project timing.

Project Engineer – Chassis

Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays

Our client, a specialist engineering design and development company that has grown into a business that can deliver a complete turnkey solution on behalf of its global customers. To deliver this overall capability, they have developed its skills in project and supply chain management and put in place all the necessary quality systems and processes to allow them to deliver projects to the standards expected by our customers.

Responsibilities

* Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company

* To oversee project budgets and supervise the preliminary stages of major projects

* Assessing production costs and other vital data pertaining to the project

* Compiling data derived from reports, revising time schedules according to necessity overseeing the quality of work at project site

* Support project review meetings

* Liaise with Engineering teams, Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely closure of all actions

* Responsible for the general management of the development and production stages of projects

* Produce product design and development plans

* Ensuring all safety & legal requirements are being followed, interpreting clients’ necessities, pinpointing, and addressing engineering problems and implementing solutions.

Essential Skills

* Strong experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Project Engineer within chassis or within a Project Support/ Management role, in a fast paced, forward-thinking business

* Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and other service providers

* Ability to manage one’s own time, multitask and prioritise workload accordingly

* Proven record of people & project management

* Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software

* Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings

* Plans work and cascades to team

* Integrates departmental planning with other business units

* Demonstrates good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism

* Organised, Methodical but Flexible approach to workload

* Must have IDLR/ Full right to work in UK- Sponsorship will not be provided.

Desirable Skills

* Experience and knowledge of designing project guidelines and procedures

* Can lead moderate teams

* Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
