Lead CAS Modeller Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead CAS Modeller to join our team at Jonathan Lee Recruitment Ltd. As a Lead CAS Modeller, you will be responsible for creating and releasing surfaces that faithfully capture design intent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Interior and Exterior Surfacing Managers by effectively managing project inputs and outputs
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Interior and Exterior CAS teams on behalf of the Surfacing Managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall project goal
  • Create and release surfaces that faithfully capture design intent, aesthetically-optimised and to a high quality of execution that meet specified standards
  • Assist the creative process by interpreting 2D sketches into 3D data for design iteration and approval
  • Sketch 3D Surfaces to aid aesthetic Design development
  • Create initial theme proposals to support aesthetic and feasibility studies
  • Create surfaces of themes for engineering feasibility verification
  • Create surface release for design approval
  • Create surface release that provide foundation for production surfacing activity
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified or equivalent with proven experience in creative & technical digital surface creation using Alias
  • Proven experience as an CAS Modeller
  • Experience of working with engineering inputs
  • Ability to interpret design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals
  • Can plan time to meet given deadlines
