Objective of the Gardening Apprentice

The primary aim is to acquire skills in maintaining the hotel’s gardens, kitchen garden, nursery, grounds, and golf course to the highest standards, collaborating with a team of skilled gardeners.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A genuine passion for gardening and the outdoors.
  • Previous relevant work experience is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities of the Gardening Apprentice

  • Attend college on designated days to fulfill apprenticeship qualifications and apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas by removing weeds and leaf debris, ensuring the highest standards are upheld.
  • Take ownership of tasks as directed by the Estate Manager and senior gardening staff.
  • Engage positively with guests about the grounds and gardens as needed.
