Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Gardener to join our team. As an Apprentice Gardener, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in gardening and horticulture, working alongside our experienced team of gardeners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance of the hotel gardens, kitchen garden, nursery, grounds, and golf course to the highest possible standard.
  • Attend college on required days to complete apprenticeship qualifications and apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
  • Take pride in keeping all areas clear of weed and leaf debris and fork over regularly to maintain the highest standard.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for tasks as instructed by the Estate Manager and senior gardeners.
  • Assist the team in the production of high-quality fruit, vegetables, and foraged items for use by the hotel.

Requirements

  • Possess a passion for gardening and the outdoors.
  • Relevant work experience is desirable.
  • Commitment to 2 years of apprenticeship.
  • Keen eye for detail, organisational skills, and confident in communicating with the team.
