About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Clothing team as a Clothing Transformation Manager. As a key member of our Commercial GM division, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our stock flow and availability capabilities, driving significant financial benefits for Sainsbury's.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Better Buying workstream and drive the transformation of stock flow and availability as part of the Clothing Division's strategic evolution.
  • Design, develop, and deploy new capabilities, including seasonal and continuity buying tools, a demand-weighted availability metric, and an enhanced suite of reporting.
  • Enable the achievement of challenging growth targets, unlocking significant financial benefits for the business over the next 12-18 months.
  • Cultivate collaboration and establish new governance and processes to drive innovation and efficiency within commercial operations.
  • Lead and influence stakeholders at all levels, communicating progress and managing risks effectively to ensure successful delivery of key milestones.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in driving change and implementing transformation initiatives within a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong curiosity and drive to challenge the status quo, translating complex information into effective communication to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels, role modeling collaborative and agile ways of working, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in data analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Experience in the clothing sector, although not essential, provides valuable insights into the industry.
