Our agency manages a network of 43 state parks, offering a wide range of recreational opportunities and educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead personnel and manage operations and budgets to meet visitor expectations while protecting the park's resources.
  • Engage with community stakeholders, media, and government agencies to promote park initiatives and support.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facilitate resources for advancing the agency's mission.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven skills in effective communication and leadership, capable of guiding teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Understanding of business management principles, including budget planning and revenue generation.
  • Ability to coordinate seasonal work programs efficiently.
  • Expertise in maintenance practices for facilities, grounds, and utility systems, ensuring public safety and service quality.
  • Knowledge of conservation and preservation practices related to natural and cultural resources.
  • Experience in public relations and interpretation within a park or recreational context.

Additional Considerations

  • Familiarity with capital development planning in a park environment.
  • Experience in implementing park policies that impact visitor experiences and resource management.
  • Advanced skills in managing partnerships with community organizations and foundations.
  • Knowledge of specialized operations within park facilities.
