Job Title: Stock and Sales Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Stock and Sales Assistant to enhance our operations. In this position, you will oversee inventory management, assist with customer transactions, and ensure the retail environment is welcoming and efficient. Your ability to juggle multiple responsibilities will be crucial in maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory levels by receiving shipments, unpacking goods, and arranging products in the storage area.
  • Restock shelves on the sales floor, ensuring that items are attractively displayed and easily reachable for customers.
  • Assist shoppers with their needs, offering product insights and suggestions.
  • Manage the checkout process, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of payments, including cash and card transactions.
  • Keep the store environment tidy and organized, including maintaining shelves and product displays.
  • Contribute to visual merchandising efforts by creating promotional displays and signage that enhance the shopping experience.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock management to maintain precise inventory records.
  • Address customer questions and resolve issues with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Support store operations by participating in opening and closing tasks as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in retail or a similar field is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing outstanding customer service.
  • Capability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and handle various tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset for addressing challenges.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive attitude, dependability, and enthusiasm for the retail sector.
