Job Description

Job Summary

Primark is seeking a highly skilled Senior Ethical Trade Executive to join our Social Impact Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in defining and shaping our approach to human rights due diligence across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage global thematic workplans on labour rights, gender rights, and the inclusion of vulnerable people.
  • Work closely with our implementation teams on the ground in sourcing countries, as well as with wider stakeholders across the business and external partners.
  • Establish global strategies and approaches to address labour rights issues, including child labour, gender-sensitive due diligence, worker voice, and vulnerable workers.
  • Develop and manage external partnerships to support our labour rights initiatives.
  • Lead the creation of thematic workplans, strategies, and roadmaps to address labour rights issues.
  • Develop narratives of Primark's approach across HRDD thematic areas for internal and external communications and reporting.

Requirements

  • Consultancy experience with a track record of tangible changes in supply chains or practical on-the-ground experience.
  • Experience of working on programmes in the global on at least two of the technical issues covered by this role.
  • Ability to understand technical and legal information and develop positions that support the practical application of these in supply chains.
  • Strategy development, programme design, and third-party partnership management experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the garment sector and global supply chains involved with the industry.
  • Work experience in at least one country relevant to Primark's supply chain.
