About the Position
As a prominent member of the Structural Engineering Alliance Group, we are seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineering Associate to enhance our civil engineering team. With over 25 years of experience in delivering exceptional civil and structural engineering solutions, our firm is dedicated to serving a diverse array of clients across the construction sector.
The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of infrastructure initiatives, collaborating closely with local and group colleagues to ensure the successful execution of highways and infrastructure projects. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development to detailed design and construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers within the Midlands region, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilize advanced design software to create and manage engineering designs.
- Engage with key clients to discuss design and technical solutions, fostering collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate resource allocation for projects, delegating tasks to team members and monitoring deliverables.
- Support the professional growth of junior staff, encouraging their development and career progression.
- Implement company policies and ensure compliance within the team.
- Oversee project budgets and resource management for all undertaken projects.
- Enhance existing client relationships and promote the services of our firm.
- Contribute to achieving targeted revenue goals from both current and prospective clients.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) is essential.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
- A proven track record in the design of highways and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in cost estimation and project management.
- Familiarity with design tools in a BIM environment.
- Knowledge of industry design standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, and NJUG.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide effective solutions.
- A collaborative approach, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating confidence and proactivity.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
