Job Title: Associate Director Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director Civil Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our civils team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across the Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of civil engineers and provide support where necessary
  • Use industry-leading design software to create and manage designs
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced and delegate work to team members
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering their development and progression
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote our services
  • Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in civil engineering
  • Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management
  • Understanding of industry design standards and BIM environment
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to offer solutions to challenges
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Confident, articulate, and proactive
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills and career with training support
