Position Overview
As a Care Support Specialist, your role will involve assisting two remarkable individuals with Autism. We encourage you to bring enthusiasm and creativity to their leisure activities, which may include attending sports events, enjoying nature walks, watching favorite television programs, and engaging in video games.
A valid UK manual driving license with a minimum of one year of driving experience is preferred, as the individuals have their own vehicle. However, this is not a strict requirement for the right candidates.
Candidate Profile
While prior experience in care is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We prioritize values and transferable skills in our recruitment process. We offer paid training and will support you in obtaining your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification, along with covering your annual SSSC registration fees.
Essential Qualities:
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- A nurturing demeanor
- Respect for personal boundaries and privacy
- A proactive attitude towards learning
- Understanding the significance of routines and adherence to guidelines
- Proficiency in computer usage
The individuals we support may face communication challenges, making a solid command of the English language crucial.
Work Schedule
To provide tailored support that meets individual needs, the roles will require flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, daytime shifts, evenings, waking nights, weekends, and public holidays on a rotational basis.
An additional payment of £20 per night will be provided for each waking night shift worked.
Interested in joining us? We look forward to hearing from you
Additional Information: Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and will be supported in pursuing an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare through our Training Academy.
