About the Role

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their team. As a key member of the Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the use of gamma cameras, associated equipment, and handling radioactive materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake non-imaging and imaging patient investigations, including radioactive dose administration and handling of radioactive sources.
  • Order and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, perform quality assurance, and store radioactive waste.
  • Contribute to the development of projects and prioritize work in a busy environment.

Requirements

  • 3 years of post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine, with knowledge of scanning protocols and computer skills.
  • Ability to give IV injections and carry out venipuncture.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine processing protocols and gamma camera QC.

Person Specification

  • BSc Radiography or equivalent qualification in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • IV cannulations and state registration with HPC or Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists (IPEM).
