About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake non-imaging and imaging patient investigations, including radioactive dose administration and handling of radioactive sources.
  • Order and dispense radiopharmaceuticals, perform quality assurance, and store radioactive waste.
  • Contribute to audits and record-keeping, and provide technical support to our Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT services.
Requirements
  • 3 years of post-qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine, using gamma cameras and handling radioactive materials.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine scanning protocols and computer/keyboard skills.
  • Ability to give IV injections and carry out venipuncture.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine processing protocols and gamma camera QC.
Desirable Qualifications
  • PET CT experience.
  • State Registration - HPC or Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists (IPEM).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
