Compensation: Starting at £47,683, based on qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development of Engineering Toolsets. This role focuses on creating, integrating, and showcasing innovative engineering toolset capabilities and processes aimed at revolutionizing the manufacturing and engineering practices within the Air Sector, utilizing an integrated Siemens toolset. This initiative will support the Manufacturing Engineering function in achieving its digital transformation goals, thereby addressing the challenges of product timelines and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in the planning of Assembly Processes. You will convert design specifications into safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing plans for advanced assembly structures. Responsibilities include managing bills of materials, ensuring design and engineering configuration control, identifying tooling and digital manufacturing process needs, and providing support to manufacturing teams on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications:
Essential:
- Possession of a minimum HNC or a recognized degree and/or apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with Engineering Toolsets such as Siemens, PLM (or equivalent Product Lifecycle Management), SAPCAMS, SFM (Shop Floor Manager), CDP, VAS, and CATIA V5.
- Demonstrated experience in specific manufacturing processes, including Assembly, Carbon Fibre Composites, and Machining.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Geometric Dimensional Management & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of Metrology, Robotics, and ALM programming.
