Position: Individual Support Assistant for Special Educational Needs

Working Hours:

  • Total Hours: 30 hours per week, distributed over 5 days.
  • Daily Schedule: 8.45am – 3.15pm.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: £12.90 per hour.

Job Overview: Are you a dedicated and empathetic Individual Support Assistant looking to contribute positively in a respected Primary School environment? We have a full-time position available, focusing on providing tailored support to a wonderful child in Year 2. This temporary role is designed to cover a staff absence and will continue throughout the academic year. The institution is highly regarded for its supportive leadership and commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Assistance: Deliver personalized support to students with special educational needs, catering to their unique learning and developmental requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to execute customized learning strategies and plans.
  • Resource Development: Aid in the creation of educational materials and resources tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
  • Classroom Support: Assist the educator in fostering an organized and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.
  • Behavioral Guidance: Apply behavior management strategies and interventions to encourage positive behavior and social engagement.

All compensation rates mentioned include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
