Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience in complex spine surgery and develop subspecialist skills in preparation for a consultant post.

Main Duties

The postholder will work in a Royal College of Surgeons approved Fellowship, The Sir Hugh Cairns Complex Spinal Surgery Fellow, and will be involved in both neurosurgery and orthopaedic spinal disciplines. The successful candidate will be supported in their broader professional and career development, particularly with reference to CCT and CESR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a dynamic and supportive team environment
  • Develop subspecialist skills in complex spine surgery
  • Contribute to the development of clinical audit and research
  • Participate in the Neurology and Neurosurgery Departments' teaching programme
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in neurosurgery, excellent communication skills, and a flexible approach to work. Prior experience in neurosurgery or a related discipline is essential. The postholder must be GMC registered with a license to practice.
