Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery to join our team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide sound clinical opinion on a range of acute medical conditions
  • Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Manage and lead medical/surgical teams
  • Organise, prioritise and manage high intensity workload
  • Supervise junior medical staff
  • Commit to formal and informal teaching of medical staff, AHPs and medical students
  • Participate in audit and extrapolate clinical research evidence to care for individual patients
Requirements
  • Full Registration with the relevant UK professional registration body
  • Part 1 or complete postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery
  • Ability to work flexibly in a changing health service
  • Excellent manner with patients, being sensitive to their needs and fears
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, Nurses and other health professionals
