Job Overview

Position: Band 7 Specialist CAMHS Practitioner

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist CAMHS Practitioner to contribute to our Complex Needs Team. This role is essential for delivering high-quality mental health services to children and adolescents facing complex challenges.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including clinical leads, team leaders, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive care delivery. You will have the opportunity to enhance your clinical and managerial skills while participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to manage a caseload of patients, ensuring that all aspects of care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, are conducted to the highest professional standards. You will work under the guidance of the Team Leader to ensure effective case management and coordination of services.

As a Specialist CAMHS Practitioner, you will provide care in various settings, including patients' homes and community facilities, ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and compassionately.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Training

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Relevant CAMHS qualification

Desirable Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Specialist Nursing Practice
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber certification
