Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist CAMHS Practitioner to join our Complex Needs Team at East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on complex mental health needs and best practices.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as child and adolescent mental health or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work with a range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines, including the Children Act 1989 and the Mental Health Act 2007.
