Job Overview

Band 6 - Deputy Team Lead - Specialised District Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated District Nurse to join our team in Newham. As a Deputy Team Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, clinics, or residential care settings.

Main Duties of the Job

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing nursing care to patients on your caseload and ensuring that the nursing care provided by the team meets professional and clinical standards.
  • Ensuring a case management model of delivery, including effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Liaising and working effectively with General Practitioners and other agencies to provide a seamless service.

Person Specification

Essential criteria include:

  • RGN qualification
  • DN Cert./Dip Limited Prescriber

Desirable criteria include:

  • BSc/ MSc Specialist Nursing Practice (District Nursing)
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber

Other

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing demands, and occasionally manage challenging behaviour. Ability to hoist patients, assist transfer of patients, and undertake treatment in close proximity to the patient.
