About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Bedfordshire Supported Housing Ltd. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing practical and emotional support to our service users who live in accommodation-based units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in providing support to service users with complex mental health needs and challenging behavior.
  • Develop and review care plans and risk assessments to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
  • Accompany service users to appointments and support them in accessing their community.
  • Assist with personal care and household tasks, such as helping with medication, preparing meals, and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Communicate effectively with external health professionals and attend review meetings to ensure the best possible support for our service users.

Requirements

  • Experience and knowledge of caring for people with complex mental health needs and challenging behavior.
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Excellent management skills and good written and verbal communication.
  • Full driving license (advantageous).
