Job Description

As a Temporary Works Supervisor at Matchtech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of temporary works on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Temporary Works Co-ordinator to develop and implement safe systems of work.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and checks on temporary works, including during erection, before use, and periodically during use.
  3. Use checklists to aid inspection and record results, ensuring any defects or omissions are corrected.
  4. Communicate with the Temporary Works Co-ordinator on matters such as permits to load, inspection areas, and ground conditions.
  5. Attend weekly temporary works meetings with PC TWC's and other TWS's.
  6. Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging diversity and actively seeking to improve wellbeing.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven experience as a Temporary Works Supervisor on a large infrastructure project.
  2. CITB accredited TWSTC (or TWCTC) qualification.
  3. Extensive knowledge of BS 5975.
  4. Scaffold Awareness course or Basic Scaffold Inspections training.
  5. SSSTS (or SMSTS) certification.
