Our client, a well-established brokerage and market-making firm, is currently seeking a Technical Program Management Specialist to enhance their operations.

With a strong global presence and a legacy of 50 years in the industry, our client is expanding and requires a dedicated Technical Program Management Specialist to support their growth initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals with a programming or development background who are interested in transitioning into a project management position while still engaging in technical tasks.

In this position, you will oversee all facets of the project lifecycle, from gathering requirements to writing specifications and managing change releases.

The Technical Program Management Specialist will also be tasked with creating test plans and collaborating with relevant business units to facilitate user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and Projects, the Technical Program Management Specialist will ensure the timely and budget-conscious delivery of technology projects.
  • The role encompasses all stages of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, specification writing, and managing change releases. The Specialist will also develop test plans and coordinate with business departments for user acceptance testing.
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with technology partners is essential, as is identifying suitable software developers to meet business needs.
  • On a daily basis, the Technical Program Management Specialist will work closely with existing technology partners to ensure the seamless operation of core business applications.
  • Management of source code repositories is crucial, ensuring that technology intellectual property is comprehensive, current, and adheres to internal standards.
  • This role is hands-on, requiring the successful candidate to provide direct technical expertise on various projects.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • A graduate or of graduate caliber with a technology background and a formal project management qualification.
  • Technical skills: .NET stack, C#, Python, React, Angular, SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub projects, GitHub Enterprise Server, Azure DevOps, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and API gateways.
  • A proven track record of managing and delivering projects, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
