Main Purpose

Oversee the management and coordination of the development of the asset portfolio, ensuring that each product advances through its life cycle stages according to established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with various internal and external stakeholders to establish project objectives and development strategies for each product within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  2. Integrate, inspire, and lead multidisciplinary teams to guarantee the efficient and timely execution of each project plan.
  3. Implement change, risk, and resource management principles as necessary.
  4. Gather inputs from stakeholders to construct program budgets and monitor execution.
  5. Develop evaluation methodologies to assess performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  6. Create, maintain, and present project tracking updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring senior management is kept informed with precise and comprehensive reports or presentations.
  7. Facilitate meetings, teams, or committees associated with assigned projects.
  8. Ensure program operations and activities comply with legal standards and internal policies.
  9. Supervise all program and project managers involved, providing constructive feedback and resolving complex issues.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  1. 10+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical research and/or development environment; drug development experience (CMC, clinical, and/or preclinical); a minimum of 3-5 years of project management and leadership experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects, ensuring task delivery from planning through to reporting.
  3. Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for ensuring successful delivery.
  4. Experience in outsourcing and managing external vendors, including quality control, CMOs, CDMOs, Regulatory, Medical, and technical experts.
  5. Experience in financial oversight of departmental and/or project activities.
  6. Ability to manage stringent documentation requirements.
  7. Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and ICH guidelines.
