Job Summary

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Utilities Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Utilities Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and management of plant and networks within your appointed area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to plant works teams, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor and react to alarms for plant and systems under your control, expediting notification of failures to relevant stakeholders.
  • Hold Authorised Person appointments and undertake work activities within your appointed area, maintaining high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager as required, issuing and receiving permits to work, and preparing Safe Systems of Work for networks and plant.
  • Undertake Work Supervisory Officer duties within your area of control, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Technician Apprenticeship or ONC with suitable additional experience in utility or building service delivery.
  • Engineering capability across relevant networks, comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated plant and equipment.
  • Experience in utility or building service delivery over a large portfolio of buildings, with a focus on water and wastewater management.
  • Ability to apply, obtain, and maintain required security clearance for the role.
