We are seeking a highly skilled Water Operations Specialist to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our potable water network and water abstraction process.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Monitor Water Network: Daily operation of the potable water network and water abstraction process, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Leakage Control and Management: Planning and implementation of leakage control activities to minimize water loss and optimize network performance.
- Water Quality Sampling and Analysis: Conduct water quality sampling and analysis of network data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise work activities and provide training to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Emergency Response: Identify and respond to leaks and bursts, and implement emergency response procedures to minimize disruption to customers.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare and submit reports on water network performance, leakage control activities, and other relevant data to support business decision-making.
- Qualifications and Experience: Qualification or experience in water network and treatment operation, or significant experience in a water operations environment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Thorough working knowledge of leakage identification and control, and management of water quality sampling and analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory aspects within the water industry, particularly in relation to water quality.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and respond to and resolve emergency situations.
