Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing medical expertise and clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide medical expertise and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and treatment of patients with severe, complex, and high-risk psychiatric conditions
  • Assess emergency work and provide support to the existing patient population
  • Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care and record clinical activity accurately and comprehensively
  • Provide a comprehensive range of services in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to all patients being managed in the team
  • Participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and the whole mental health service
  • Manage, appraise, and give professional supervision to junior medical staff
