We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in our Bedfont team.
About the RoleAs a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to provide one-to-one support, small group work, and assist with classroom management. You will need to be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with children and their families.
Requirements- Experience working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant
- Strong knowledge of SEND and inclusive education
- Ability to work effectively with children who have additional needs
- Patient and empathetic approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have good spoken English
- Minimum of 6 months Primary experience
- Able to provide 2 or more references covering the last 3 years
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
