About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Children's Residential Home Senior Management Team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of positive outcomes for our young people and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each young person has an allocated key worker and that staff are aware of their placement plan and responsibilities.
  • Attend childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people.
  • Undertake direct work with young people and act as an appropriate role model.
  • Assist in developing systems for young people to consult on the quality of care they receive.
  • Support the Registered Manager in implementing the Statement of Purpose and contribute to devising, implementing, and evaluating changes to improve services, systems, and standards.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and allocate resources effectively.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of the Ofsted framework (SCCIF).
  • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Excellent team building, supervision, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and enthuse staff.
  • A Full UK driving licence is required.
