About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People. As a Registered Nurse - Neurorehabilitation, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the clinical needs of individual clients undergoing rehabilitation at our service.
  • Attend to and assist clients in achieving a high standard of physical and personal wellbeing, including diet, hygiene, and appearance.
  • Implement and evaluate the efficacy of care plans and therapy guidelines for all clients.
  • Administer and audit medication in conjunction with the Head of Nursing and Rehabilitation Support.
  • Manage, monitor, assess, and implement continence plans of care for clients following liaison with the Continence Advisor.
  • Monitor the dietary needs of clients, including guidelines given by the dietician.
  • Maintain a safe environment and infection control guidelines.
  • Create and maintain legible and accurate records of clinical care.
  • Liaise with the members of the multi-disciplinary team and external professionals, including medical personnel as required.
  • Advise and train staff on the clinical care needs of all clients.
  • Comply with the requirements of employees under the Health & Safety at Work Act and report any incident, accident, or hazards to your line manager.
  • Observe strict confidentiality in respect of any information regarding clients or information relating to the Service.
  • Assist in building and maintaining good staff relationships within the department to ensure a high standard of work as an effective team.
  • Supervise Support Workers whilst on duty.
  • Liaise with the Head of Nursing and Rehabilitation Support in matters relating to the clients' clinical needs.
  • Undertake effective discharge planning in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team.

About You

  • You are a Registered Nurse Adult with a valid NMC pin.
  • You have evidence of post-registration education and practice.
  • Desirable: Mentorship qualification.
