Project Manager - Flood Risk and Environmental Improvement

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of flood and coastal erosion risk management and environmental improvement schemes in Wales and the Southwest of England.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in managing budgets, programmes, change, and risks. They will also have excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to proactively manage client expectations and meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project budgets, programmes, change, and risks
  • Manage sub-contractors and NEC-form contracts
  • Deliver accurate cost forecasts and progress reporting
  • Work with others on project delivery
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage project Health and Safety requirements
Requirements:
  • Chartered status with the Association of Project Management (APM) or engineering institution (ICE, CIWEM)
  • Relevant qualification, degree, or equivalent, with an interest in environmental management and/or engineering
  • Post-graduate qualifications in project management (MSc., Prince2 or equivalent) desirable
  • Experience in successfully delivering projects, to achieve stated outcomes, complying with health and safety requirements, understanding CDM regulations, and managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, project programming software (e.g. MS Project), and NEC contract management
