We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Surveyor to join our team at Newport City Homes. As a key member of our capital investment scheme delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake project management duties, including pre-contract, contract phase, and post-contract activities, on allocated projects as defined by the Senior Projects Surveyor and Capital Works Manager.
- Lead defined projects as agreed with the Senior Project Surveyor and project manage capital investment schemes, managing multiple projects concurrently from inception through to final account.
- Ensure all relevant statutory regulations are adhered to across the project, including CDM Regulations, Planning and Building Regulations, Party Wall Act, and Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations.
- Assist in the management and monitoring of allocated budgets, ensuring expenditure is on target and meets the requirements of the delegated authority within the financial regulations.
- Effectively use project management techniques, such as cash flow analysis, process management, value engineering, risk management, and quality benchmarking, to deliver desired outcomes.
- Monitor and report on allocated projects against agreed indicators, including monitoring KPIs, quality of work, and signing off completed work.
- Manage key customer and supply chain interfaces to ensure customer service meets desired quality levels.
- Ability to frequently undertake building site inspections, working at height, using ladders and/or scaffold, and gaining access to confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
- Strong project management skills, with experience of managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of relevant statutory regulations and financial management principles.
