We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at NHS Professionals Limited. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will play a crucial role in providing medical leadership and professional accountability for patients under your care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership and professional accountability for patients under your care.
- Supervise junior or middle-grade medical staff and support them in their professional development.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective team working in the provision of acute care to patients.
- Build on existing good relationships with primary and community care services to identify risk factors and signpost patients to services that support their independence.
- Deliver community sessions in the community as part of the MDT, leading clinical management and auditing outcomes.
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP)
- Relevant certificate of completion of training (CCT or CESR) or entry on specialist registration within 6 months or applied for entry
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- 4-5 years training at ST3+ level in General Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine
- Daily independent ward rounds on acutely ill patients
- Comprehensive patient management
- Ability to make decisions at Consultant level and take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
- A 360-relocation package, inclusive of flights and initial accommodation as required
- Tier 2 UK Visas
- Extensive and acutely tailored Training and Development, including a direct route to the CESR Program for the successful candidate
- Flexible working patterns
