About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Test Engineer to join our team at Dräger. As a key member of our Test Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing test strategies, test plans, and statistical data analysis for new products and serial products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create test strategies, test plans, and perform tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Work on test concepts from planning to commissioning of new test equipment, rigs, and jigs, as well as software and firmware related to various test purposes.
  • Use statistical analysis to prove performance and apply Six Sigma and statistical tools for various applications in test engineering.
  • Direct test technicians to perform tests and document the test results in alignment with standard procedures, H&S, and test lab rules.
  • Develop and validate new test equipment, with a focus on automation via LabVIEW control and various other programming languages.
  • Support product and test knowledge on request of Dräger departments and in interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Build up personal networks with international test houses and correlate test procedures and set-ups with international test laboratories.
  • Contribute to the global Dräger Test Engineer Network activities and update test equipment to align with standards and test requirements.
  • Maintain department standards and procedures, including 6S, test procedures, SOPs, and H&S requirements.
  • Improve test equipment and processes and finalize projects, tasks, and targets agreed in alignment with yearly department goals.
  • Work onsite and ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimize any impact on the environment while carrying out duties.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science.
  • Exposure to lab testing and statistical analysis within an academic or industrial setting.
  • Some experience of an engineering or scientific environment outside of university.
  • Excellent organizational skills, use of Python, C#, LabVIEW, team player, excellent communication skills in English, high attention to detail, analytical mind, and ability to absorb information quickly.
