About the Role

New Directions Holding is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Education Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties in a 'Good' SEND school based in Huyton.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties.
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or adults with additional needs.
  • Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Able to support children of all abilities.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
