Operations Manager (Part-Time)

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for an Operations Manager to develop, sustain, and manage the systems and processes that drive our organization.

Located at our headquarters, the Operations Manager will oversee all non-engineering aspects of our operations, which includes creating new systems and maintaining existing processes.

This position will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities, from managing our cloud-based project management platform to developing new systems within our SharePoint IT framework, and playing a key role in the strategic planning for the organization’s future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to strategic planning and enhancing our core operations, particularly project management for our engineering and consulting teams.
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining operational policies and procedures to improve organizational performance.
  • Managing the company’s ISO Quality Management System effectively.
  • Collaborating with our external IT support provider to act as the IT lead, ensuring our systems are efficient and compliant, and spearheading our Cyber Essentials certifications.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in:

  • Project management with a focus on time, quality, and cost.
  • Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management Systems or other relevant ISO standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as science, engineering, or management.
  • Experience in IT management.
  • Familiarity with small business financial systems and accounting software.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding £100k.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials.
  • Certifications in Change Management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including MS Azure and MS InTune.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of industrial processes and renewable energy systems.
