About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the production functions on contracts allocated by the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective production strategies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and coordinate the work of production teams, including direct labor and subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Monitor and report physical and financial progress to the board of directors on a monthly basis.
- Plan, coordinate, and maintain management staff and operative levels to effectively undertake current and prospective workloads.
- Provide production input to enhance tender opportunities and develop effective lines of communication with the Pre-commencement Department.
- Conduct regular site audits to ensure high standards of management controls are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, planning conditions, and warranty provider standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Professional qualifications in construction management or a related field.
