Residential Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Worker to join our team at Eden House, a designated Approved Premises for women. As a Residential Worker, you will provide support and guidance to women who are returning to the community after serving time in prison or who have been given a residential requirement as part of a community sentence.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver daily structured living skills sessions, leisure, and creative activities to our residents. You will also provide support to enable residents to deal with problems and become independent. Additionally, you will assist with the induction of new residents to ensure their familiarity with the environment and understanding of rules and policies.
As a Residential Worker, you will maintain an active presence in the Approved Premises at all times during your shift, including undertaking regular inspections of the building. You will report any significant changes or key information relating to residents and escalate any matters of concern. You will also act as Fire Warden and First Aider on duty.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate empathy, with the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. You should be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with good listening skills. Input and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner.
