Position Overview

The Electrical Power Systems Specialist will deliver a comprehensive technical engineering service with minimal oversight, focusing on mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations.

This role involves travel to various locations, ensuring effective service delivery across multiple sites.

Essential Qualifications
  • Valid UK driving license
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Regulations certification
  • Experience in Field Services or completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of power supply principles, HVAC systems, ACBs, generator systems, and static UPSs
  • Understanding of Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation and policies
  • Willingness to travel, including potential overnight stays
Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the team manager, the Electrical Power Systems Specialist will contribute to a multi-skilled team responsible for service operations. While collaboration is key, individual contributions are vital for daily operational tasks. Travel outside the usual service area may be necessary under special circumstances.
  • Execute planned maintenance and service on various systems and networks.
  • Address faults and service interruptions, performing corrective maintenance in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist in upgrades and modifications to existing systems, following established guidelines.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation of actions taken.
  • Conduct testing and measurements to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers through effective engagement.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call response as per the scheduled rota.
  • Ensure equipment operates to specified performance standards and adheres to company protocols.
  • Prioritize safety by complying with current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
