Job Description

Job Title: Power Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Specialist to join our team at Arqiva. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for our power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks.
  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures.
  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks following agreed instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken.
  • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements.
  • Engage with customers and build positive working relationships.
  • Participate in 24/7 365 callout response as per the scheduled rota.
  • Ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria and is maintained to conform to agreed company standards.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Arqiva SHEQ policy.

Requirements:

  • Driving licence (full UK).
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition Regulations.
  • Previous experience in Field Services or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship in a similar environment.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, HVAC Systems, ACBs, Generator Systems, Static UPSs, Static Switches.
  • Working knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Some overnight stays away from home location maybe required.
